Meet the EMA Team
It’s no exaggeration to say that the people on the Electronic Marketing Associates Inc. (EMA) team have spent their entire careers in either the consumer electronics industry or in sales and marketing. For some of us, like John Blando, that equates to more than 45 years of representing manufacturers. For others, like Alec Haight, that means cutting your teeth in the industry as the sixth-generation of a family-owned electronics distribution company. Twenty years… nearly 50 years… the EMA team has experience in all aspects of electronics manufacturers, their products, the market, the distributors, the installers, and the consumers. That’s the experience we bring to all our partnerships.
Matt Selecman
Principal/Owner
Matt has just under 30 years of experience in various electrical and electronics roles. 10 years in retail, 15 years in custom install, and 5 years as a manufacturer's representative. Through out his entire career Matt has also lead teams as small as 3 and as large as 20. Weather it's sales, business development, technical design, programming, engineering, operations, or leadership Matt is skilled in solving a wide array of challenges big and small.
Joe Shaffer
Regional Sales Executive
Joe has consumer electronics sales experience in retail as a regional sales manager and as a manufacturer’s representative. Given the broad exposure to the industry since the late 1970s, he is able to solve go-to market challenges for both manufacturers and retailers.
Randall Selecman
Inside Sales/Customer Service
Randall brings to EMA a 40+ year career in field electrical and electronics experience as well as 15+ years in B2C Sales. Randall is second to none as it relates to finding a solution no matter how complex the challenge.
Mary Beth Russell
Administration/Inside Sales
Mary Beth has 20-year background in marketing, specifically in the design and production of sales center promotions, advertising, literature and analysis. For ten years, she has been in consumer electronics, acting as a liaison for all aspects of sales support between dealers and manufacturers. Mary Beth has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Missouri, and her education and experience means she offers unparalleled marketing and customer service support.
Carolyn Brummel
Administration/Inside Sales
Carolyn brings invaluable computer and office management skills to our veteran team. She has a background in training and development in the retail and financial services industry. Carolyn works directly with our manufacturers and dealers to support and grow their businesses.
